Zionsville struggled early from the outside, but that turned around in the third quarter as they shot their way to a 16-2 run, erasing what had been Carmel’s biggest lead of nine points.

Triple doubles are hard to come by in the high school game. In part because it’s tough to find players who excel in such diverse ways, but also in part due to the games only lasting 32 minutes.

This will be an interesting year for Carmel. They have a nice group of seniors, and they have a nice group of sophomores, one of whom, AJ Hammons, is one of the more highly recruited players in the state.

There are more familiar names to those outside of the Carmel basketball community. However, when you’ve watched a varsity basketball game at Carmel High School since 1997, you’ve sat in the Eric Clark Activities Center.
